Uns alle bewegt die Hymne der Europäischen Gemeinschaft, die Europahymne, aus dem Schlusssatz der 9. Sinfonie von Ludwig van Beethoven aus dem Jahre 1824.

Dieses Arrangement beginnt mit dem Marsch, der von Beethoven in den Chorteil der „Ode an die Freude“ eingefügt wird, einer der damaligen Mode beliebten "türkischen Musik", die aus kleinen Instrumenten, Triangel, Zimbeln und der großen Trommel besteht.

Eine festliche Melodie im 6/8-Takt, die dem Menschen auf seinem Lebensweg begleitet.

Ich habe diesen singulären musikalischen Prolog ganz bewusst eingesetzt, da dieser meistens zugunsten des bekannten Motivs der „Hymne an die Freude“ etwas vernachlässigt wird. In Beethovens kompositorischem Konzept wird die Stimme nach dem Marschbeginn mit den Worten „Froh, wie seine Sonnen fliegen“, eingeleitet. Es folgt anschießend die thematische Entwicklung und endet mit der chorischen Intervention zum berühmten Hauptthema „Freude, schöner Götterfunken“.

Die Musik Beethovens stellt das universelle Symbol der Einheit und Brüderlichkeit unter den Menschen dar, und um diese Verbindung emotionell zu würdigen ist daher entsprechende Empathie grundlegend.

Ich empfehle, auf eine gesunde Balance bei den Teilabschnitten zu achten. Die Instrumentierung ist zwar kompakt, bietet aber die Möglichkeit eines ausführlichen Dialogs sowohl in dynamischer als auch in klanglicher Hinsicht, wobei die Bedeutung des melodischen Themas in Bezug auf die rhythmischen und harmonischen Begleitstimmen berücksichtigt wird. Auf diese Weise werden die Instrumente vereinigt, um das Ideal, ein vereintes Europa, zu repräsentieren und dieses in vollem Umfang zu proklamieren.

Diese bedeutende menschliche Perspektive erlaubt uns zudem, an die 250 Jahre der Geburt von L. v. Beethoven zu erinnern.

We all feel moved by the Anthem of the European Union taken from Ludwig van Beethoven’s 9th Symphony composed in 1824.

This arrangement begins with a march included in the choral part of the Ode to Joy and starts with a tinkling ”Turkish music“ (fashionable at that time) made of small instruments, triangle, cymbals and bass drum. It is a festive tune in 6/8 that accompanies man as he travels the path of life. I have intentionally included this singular musical prologue because, editorially, it is always neglected in favor of the well-known motif of the Hymn to Joy. In Beethoven's compositional concept, after the start of the march, the voice introduces itself with the words: “Froh, wie seine Sonnen fliegen” a thematic development follows and concludes with the choral interventions on the famous main theme of “Freude, schöner Götterfunken”.

Beethovenian music represents the universal symbol of unity and brotherhood among mankind, so the performing spirit of this arrangement is critical to establishing these connections.

I recommend paying special attention to the sound balance between the various parts of this piece.The instrumentation, although compact, offers the possibility of an executive dialogue both dynamic and timbral, keeping in mind the importance of the melodic theme with respect to the accompanying parts, both rhythmic and harmonic

In this way the instruments are united in representing and responding fully to the ideal of a United Europe. Furthermore, this significant human perspective allows us to remember the 250th anniversary of the birth of L. v. Beethoven.

Tutti ci sentiamo “in marcia” con l’INNO della Comunità Europea tratto dalla IX Sinfonia del 1824 di Ludwig van Beethoven (1770/1827)

Questo arrangiamento inizia appunto con una marcia inserita nella parte corale dell’Inno alla Gioia e prende l’avvio con una tintinnante “musica alla turca” (di moda in quell’epoca) fatta di strumentini, triangolo, piatti e grancassa. E’ un motivo festoso in 6/8 che accompagna l’uomo mentre percorre il cammino della vita.

Ho volutamente inserito questo singolare prologo musicale perché editorialmente è sempre trascurato a favore del noto motivo dell’INNO alla GIOIA. Nella concezione compositiva di Beethoven, dopo l’avvio della marcia, la voce si introduce con le parole: "Froh, wie seine Sonnen fliegen" segue uno sviluppo tematico e si conclude con gli interventi corali sul famoso tema principale di “Freude, schöner Götterfunken”.

La musica beethoveniana rappresenta il simbolo universale di unità e fratellanza tra gli uomini, pertanto lo spirito esecutivo di questo arrangiamento è fondamentale per stabilire queste connessioni.

Il consiglio è di curare l’equilibrio sonoro con il giusto rilievo delle parti.

La strumentazione pur presentandosi compatta offre la possibilità di un dialogo esecutivo sia dinamico che timbrico, tenendo presente il rilievo della tematica melodica rispetto alle parti di accompagnamento, sia ritmiche che armoniche. In questo modo gli strumenti sono accomunati a rappresentare e a rispondere in pieno all’ideale a cui tende l’Europa Unita, inoltre questa significativa proposta editoriale ci permette di ricordare i 250 anni della nascita di L. v. Beethoven.
